Mexico. On March 18, 2022, the transmissions of the digital terrestrial channel 13.1 of the University System of Autonomous Media, Suma TV, of the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo (UAEH) began. Suma TV's signal reaches homes via digital terrestrial signal, streaming platforms and various cable systems.
The channel was inaugurated in the presence of the rector of the UAEH Adolfo Pontigo Loyola, Lidia García Anaya, president of the Board of Trustees of the UAEH, the general director of Suma TV, Ignacio Cárdenas Roldán, and several general directors of public radio and television systems in Mexico, as well as the defender of audiences Edith Molina Carmona.
The president of the Public Broadcasting System of the Mexican State, Jenaro Villamil Rodríguez, congratulated the UEAH for the successful realization of the project and wished that SUMA TV be a channel of causes, where everyone is being given a voice.
In the master control is an Igson Broadcast Center system for 24/7 continuity control. The Igson Production Play is used as the main playout of the production booth, with the option to launch the video notes both through the virtual button (shotbox) and through the playlists for as many days in advance as necessary.
Several Igson Capture devices were also installed that manually and/or automatically record external signals, while controlling the routing matrix, allowing automatic recording even without the presence of the operator.
In the area of continuity is Igson MAM with which the preview and classification of the materials is made, as well as the preparation of the playlists. The Igson Proof Rec makes sure to generate a legal witness from the channel.
