Argentina. The National Communications Agency, Enacom, published on its website the online site aimed at providing all the details and requirements of the interest rate subsidy of credits aimed at financing projects that aim to acquire working capital for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives providing the fixed broadband Internet access service throughout the country.
The microsite Credit Bonus Program for MSMEs and ICT Cooperatives details who can access the credit line, what are the terms and conditions and what documentation must be submitted. The objective of this decision is to provide the financing to stimulate investments in infrastructure necessary for the provision of fixed broadband Internet access service.
The expansion of networks, in the hands of small and medium-sized actors in the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) sector, will make it possible to democratize access to quality Internet, enshrined as a basic human right by the national Government. This will make it possible to boost the growth of regional economies and the consequent need for specialized and specialized professionals in various areas, expanding the labor supply and social integration.
Enacom together with the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Productive Development and the Banco de la Nación Argentina (BNA) signed an agreement that implies the bonus by the Entity of 12 percentage points per year of the interest rate of the credits granted to the recipients, who may request a loan of up to 15 million pesos. The total budget is 500 million Argentine pesos, and is part of the "Credit Rate Subsidy Program for Working Capital Subsidy of ICT Services Credit Rates".
