Peru. So far this year, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) has carried out 33 Measurements of Non-Ionizing Radiation (RNI) in Huancavelica, to ensure that telecommunications services comply with the standards established by Peruvian regulations.
This was reported by the General Directorate of Audits and Sanctions in Communications (DGFSC), detailing that these interventions were made in Acobamba, Angaraes, Castrovirreyna, Huaytará, Huancavelica and Tayacaja, with state-of-the-art equipment, correctly certified.
During the forum "Development of telecommunications and opportunities for the progress of the regions", organized by the MTC, it was indicated that no antennas have been detected that exceed 0.19% of the maximum permissible limits established by law.
The sector, as the governing body of communications in Peru, is responsible for supervising and controlling the measurement levels of telecommunications antennas, for which it has a National System for the Management and Control of the Radio Spectrum.
In this way, it was found that the values obtained are less than 1% of the permissible limit, which is in accordance with the recommendations of the International Organization for Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP).
The meeting was attended by broadcasters and different civil organizations, and took place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Electronics of the National University of Huancavelica.
