Call open for development of creative industries

Colombia. 'Orange Digital Transformation' is the new initiative product of the alliance between the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) and iNNpulsa Colombia, an entity attached to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, to strengthen and promote the development of creative and cultural industries through the appropriation of technology, with a total investment of $7,510 million.

These initiatives are aimed at those projects that carry out or want to venture into businesses related to the creation, production and distribution of goods and services, whose cultural and creative character, in many cases, can be protected by intellectual property rights and that have within their 'DNA' an ICT component, with a special emphasis on the development of the country's regions.

These are the calls offered through 'Orange Digital Transformation':

Early Stage Capital for Orange Economy ICT
The first call of this portfolio focuses on offering non-reimbursable resources aimed at financing the development of innovative ICT businesses, with the aim of accelerating their growth and consolidation in the specialized markets in which they participate within the creative and cultural industries.

ORANGE VILLAGE
Another of the calls that make up 'Orange Digital Transformation' is ALDEA Naranja, a program focused on enhancing and accelerating the growth of high-impact entrepreneurs who work in the creative and cultural industries of the country, providing them with the opportunity to overcome the most difficult barriers through the connection with experts, allies (mentors), advisors, investors and credit institutions, among other key players.

This methodology is developed through four specific challenges or stages:

Challenge 1: Let's get to know each other! This is a stage of deep information gathering, focused on the product, the competition, potential customers and market differentials.
Challenge 2: Talk to experts! In this second phase, specialized experts validate with entrepreneurs the information delivered in the previous challenge and help them determine the areas of work that require the most attention. At this stage, it is defined whether applicants receive 'access keys' consisting of resources for $20, $40 or $60 million in specialized advice on fronts such as intellectual property, marketing, commercial and financial, among others.
Challenge 3: Connect with your advisor! Once entrepreneurs access the 'keys', they can select from a community of 63 advisors and experts, those who will help them establish work and follow-up plans for access to new markets and products; processes or business models; business acceleration, tax, financial, legal or legal advice, intellectual property, and coworking spaces, among other options.
Challenge 4: Let's raise capital! In this challenge, entrepreneurs face the need to seek capital to continue the expansion of their businesses. At this point, the accompaniment of the program is materialized in recommendations of funding sources, including credit products, investment vehicles or non-reimbursable resources.
In addition to this, they will also be provided with support to design positioning and growth strategies, and the digitalization of processes for the transformation of business models.

Beneficiaries: 79 companies
Investment: $2,364 million
Resources for each beneficiary: between $20, $40 or $60 million in specialized accompaniment.
How to apply: Those interested must apply here. The call is open until December 28, 2019.

MEGAi Orange
iNNpulsa has been developing an open innovation and corporate entrepreneurship program called Megainnovadores, so that companies define and implement new business units other than their main activity (spin-offs) and develop internal capabilities so that they continue to do so in a systematized way. In this case, the companies of the Orange Economy will be able to identify and structure at least two new business initiatives or sources of income, betting on the digital transformation of them with the implementation of ICT tools and solutions.

Beneficiaries: 20 companies located in Bogotá, Antioquia, Valle del Cauca, Caribe, Santanderes and Eje Cafetero.
Investment: $1.01 billion
Resources for each beneficiary: beneficiaries will receive consulting for the identification of new business models.
How to apply: those interested must apply from the second week of August through https://innpulsacolombia.com/.

Productive Bets
From the initiative of 'Orange Digital Transformation' and its productive betting initiative, a mapping of those regional bets related to the Orange Economy and its different creative agents will be developed, with the aim of promoting management models that enable the sustainability of orange development areas at its two levels: cities (creative districts) and territorial entities (creative communities). This will identify the business segments where companies are most profitable and can generate shared visions, roadmaps and action plans that allow them, through digital transformation and the appropriation of ICT, access to other markets.

Beneficiaries: Orange Economy Initiatives of six departments in the Caribbean, Pacific, Eje Cafetero, Caquetá and Santander regions.
Investment: $2,000 million.

How to apply: The call is focused on the selection of the consulting company that will develop the Roadmap methodology and will be open until August 9. The application must be made at the facilities of iNNpulsa Colombia (Calle 28 No. 13a-15, Bogotá).
