Argentina. BVS Technology Solutions organized on May 10, in its offices in the City of Buenos Aires, a workshop for customers and specialized press with the aim of expanding knowledge about the functionalities of BlackMagic Design cameras, as well as captures and post production with the use of DaVinCi Resolve. All of these technologies were previously featured on the NAB Show by Blackmagic.
The meeting was divided into two parts: in the morning it was trained on shots with URSA Mini Pro 4.6k cameras and with the Pocket 4K camera, both updated with Braw and DaVinci, and with the URSA Broadcast camera with its workflow for uses in Broadcast applications. Its presenter was Tor Rolf Johansen.
After a networking lunch, a special day was offered in the afternoon with post-production session and color correction with DaVinCi Resolve, uniting theory and practice with DaVinCi Resolve version 15. Its presenter was Diego Yhamá.
"It was the first presentation of Blackmagic's latest releases in Latin America, after having passed through NAB Show 2019 in Las Vegas. We love to know that we offered it in our offices, where professionals from large companies could come for free to train with us. The most prominent camera that was presented is the URSA Mini Pro G2, which is the only one in the region. Also, it was taught about the benefits of using the DaVinci Resolve version 15 that includes color correction, editing and coding for the post-production area, "said José Lobo, Director of Marketing Operations of VHL.
The executive added that one of the advantages of this line of Blackmagic is its low cost with state-of-the-art technology, and that this type of events "serve so that professionals, both production and post-production of cinematography and / or TV, can directly test the products."
Meanwhile, Lobo added that "Blackmagic is one of the approved companies in the four segments of Nétflix: Cameras, Color Correction, Coding and Editing. That's very important for producers, because if they produce any content with these teams they can publish it on that platform without inconvenience."
The meeting was witnessed by professionals from companies such as: Turner, Polka, FOX, ESPN, Non Stop Digital, Canal 26, Mediahub, Disney, Dinamic Films, Niceto Estudio, Alma TV, Universidad de La Plata, Alucine and Radio Nacional, among others.
