Colombia. The technology integrator company Aspa Andina recently delivered technology for two stations located in Bogotá, one of the armed forces and another university.
The Marina Stereo station of the Colombian Navy, in its main station in Bogotá has recently installed a 52-SX console of the German firm DHD, after a detailed evaluation process at the technological level that allowed a new implementation of this brand in public sector stations in the country.
In this case the console consists of a control surface of 12 Fader 52-SX, where through the Automix function they control the automatic and homogeneous mixing of the microphones, these being configured as active signals, enabling the "Ducking" function of the Automix on the Emission PC, (configuring this signal as passive), which results in automatic attenuations of its level every time the console detects level in any of its microphones.
For its part, the university station Escenario Radio of the Santo Tomás University of Bogotá has joined the many University stations that have relied on DHD for their digital mixing and broadcasting system, in this case with a 52-SX console of 8 physical Fader, but with 6 virtual Fader configured in the Multi-touch TFT 52-4018.
This allows them to optimize their Control surface and therefore space in the Master of the station, but in addition to this it facilitates the automatic mixing of the 6 microphones of the cabin through the Automix function, controlled by the operator from these virtual Fader that can be aired independently from the TFT or can be "routed and added" to a physical Fader of the 52-SX surface, acting as a virtual microphone mixer.
