Nuance Communications' Dragon TV platform brings new conversational capabilities based on artificial intelligence (AI) to the TV service of Telecentro, one of the largest operators of broadband and cable TV services in Argentina and the first in Latin America to deploy Dragon TV, bringing a voice-activated platform to subscribers in the region for the first time.
Using Dragon TV's conversational artificial intelligence, Telecentro's TV service allows its subscribers to select the channels, movies and shows they want just by naming them. With Dragon TV, Telecentro has managed to create an exceptional experience for its subscribers that allows them to access personalized content and recommendations, in an innovative interaction with the service. Thanks to the fact that Dragon TV is an optimized solution for TV and content, it is fully customizable and can recognize hundreds of thousands of show titles, programs, films, genres, channel names and other content.

Telecentro, which has the policy of always surprising the market with its innovations, was the first operator in South America to offer Gigabit Internet service to the residential segment, a precursor in the integration of OTT video content into its TV platform and one of the first in the world to incorporate YouTube and Netflix applications into its set-top boxes in 2016. The company currently has a powerful platform that allows users to consume linear TV and on-demand content on multiple devices. In this context, the next step was naturally to introduce the voice interface.
