Mexico. Despite a wide penetration of 4K in Latin America, the reality is that the migration to HD is the constant in the region, in most television and TV productions, said Pedro Mees, general manager for Latin America of JVC.
"Yes, we have the options to work with 4K, but we are very focused on the reality of the market. If a production is going to be made, there is no discussion, it will be done in 4K; but to do live events, newscasts, broadcasts the reality today is HD," he said.
And he said: "We are quite well positioned in Latin America, our participation has been growing year after year, we already have recognition in Mexico with large users such as Televisa, multimedia companies of other networks. We are in several of the big channels. The most important thing for us is that we are growing little by little, but in a very safe way. We are dedicated to selling and serving our customers who are adopting JVC solutions, we provide them with service and support. As a result, customers are satisfied and sales are growing little by little."
On the company's participation in Mexico, he considered: "We are doing a reissue of NAB, we bring our new camera, the GY-HC900, the Connected Cam, already with a more operational condition than in NAB Show 2018, when it was a new product. We have our ProHD Bridge Command Center; also the ProHD Studio solution, which is an editor and switcher with 4 inputs, very economical, more focused for events with very intuitive operation. With all these products we give a complete solution, we show the Mexican public that you can do events at low cost with high quality."
