Mexican and Latin markets grow for Ikan

Latin America. The Latin American markets, in countries such as Argentina, Chile, Peru and Ecuador, and mainly in Mexico, are promising for Ikan, manufacturer of supplies for the broadcast and film industries, said Fernando Castaldi, Brand and Marketing Manager of Ikan International.

"The Mexican market is growing very well, they are customers who are interested in our products, because it offers them solutions for all their production. We talk about lighting, tripods, audio, Gimbals, monitors."

He highlighted the collaboration he has with the Mexican distributor VideoStaff. "They are good, economical and guaranteed products. Ikan is ramping up its business in Mexico, particularly with VideoStaff. The market is going to grow a little bit more, as they are releasing new cameras and we continue to give attention to people who record with DSLR or now with cinema cameras."

On Ikan's presence in Latin America, he said: "In Chile it is growing a lot, also in Ecuador and Peru. We are waiting for Argentina to start after the Caper Show; we have representatives there which will help us, since they buy stock."

About the solutions presented to the Mexican market during Expo Cine, TV y Video 2018, the executive highlighted: "We have the new PIVOT which is the new Ikan Gimbal, which holds 3.6 kilograms. It also holds a Canon C200 camera, a Panasonic Eva 1, up to the FC-5 and can withstand heavier lenses and can move the camera back, because it has the angular motor. It lasts from ten to 12 hours of use, they are 18650 batteries and take two hours to charge. We also continue to introduce the DS2-A, it is very popular from Ikan. We have two new monitors: the S7H, 7 inches, HDMI and is SDI, 8-bit color, has high britness, you can also use Sony N to charge it. The other SX7 monitor, is the best monitor offered by Ikan, also 7 inches, super high brite, has Gorilla Glass, because if it sticks to the glass it does not break and is more robust. Now we have more lights, the new Mylo Soft, the MSB8; the difference is that it has LED status that are softer. We have audio rods from 6 feet to 12 feet, aluminum and coal, economical too, high quality, those are from E-Image."
