249 projects applied to the CNTV 2018 fund

Chile. With a total of 249 projects, it closed the application to the Fund-CNTV 2018, after concluding the online application to the contest. As in previous years, the Non-Fiction line is the most requested, but this year the applicants to the competitive lines aimed at children and historical series or documentaries increased markedly compared to last year.

In this 2018 version, the CNTV Fund has $4,316,772,000 to allocate between 8 competitive lines and the Fund for Audiovisual Projects of Community Interest, to which about $275,000,000 of this year's total amount are allocated. To date, 41 programs of Community Interest have been awarded, since the creation of this line in 2015.

The next stages of the contest are the technical-financial evaluation of the postulated projects and then the content, which are carried out by a panel of experts appointed by the Council, after a public tender of the evaluators.

The final results of the contest are announced in September 2018.
