How does Audition operate in broadcast environments (where you have to operate with timecode, control large VTRs and share NLE storage)?
--Adobe Audition is a professional tool for creating and editing audio that supports various broadcast quality formats and is integrated with our video products, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, to work simultaneously with audio and video, allowing you to operate with timecode and control VTRs, etc. Includes support for the management of Surround 5.1 sound, to be used in the authoring of DVDs integrated with Adobe Encore DVD. Part of the functionality is obviously tied to the type of hardware used.
How does Audition compete with the high interoperability offered by Avid-Pro Tools?
--Adobe Audition competes in some respects with ProTools. One of the first differences is that Audition doesn't need dedicated hardware. It can be used even with the audio card that brings the PC from the factory (considering the quality that this implies). In addition, it is a tool that allows the creation of music through loop technology, widely used in the world of DVD creation. Adobe also has a complete solution for professional video creation and editing included in the Video Collection. This makes Audition even more powerful in that context.
