Leitch Technology Corporation announced its two new configurations for VelocityHD and VelocityQ nonlinear editing systems. The new systems, available immediately in the U.S. and Latin American markets, are built on the powerful HP xw8200 workstation platform.
The respective systems incorporate both Leitch's software and hardware for editing, making them real-time "ready-to-run" NLE workstations. Designed to take advantage of the capabilities of VelocityHD and VelocityQ, the quality and flexibility of these systems deliver outstanding performance and expansion capabilities. VelocityHD and VelocityQ systems feature Intel Xeon processors and can be mounted in racks for trucks and studios with a narrow environment. These systems are available with or without video storage. In addition, they have a wide range of storage capacities and configuration options that have, among their features, the systems of the Ciprico Huge MediaVault line of high-performance arrays.
The flexible form factor of the NLE VelocityHD HD/SD system combines the innovative Altitude hardware platform with the powerful and intuitive Velocity interface software, ensuring excellent quality and real-time editing for HD, at an excellent price. Combining Velocity software with real-time non-linear editing Quattrus hardware, VelocityQ forms an integrated, multi-tier NLE solution in standard definition.
