Argentina. The National Communications Agency, Enacom, ordered the opening of a public consultation on the modification of the National Plan for Digital Audiovisual Communication Services.
Through Resolution RESOL-2018-84-APN-ENACOM#JGM, the entity arranged a public consultation so that individuals can formulate written opinions and / or register for the public hearing to be held on November 6, 2018 regarding the project to modify the National Plan for Digital Audiovisual Communications, in order to advance in the cessation of analog TV transmissions, which will be replaced by Digital Terrestrial TV.
The project means that Free-to-Air TV broadcasters in the process of migration, in areas where radio spectrum is available, are allowed to use a complete radio channel. While in those places where the availability of said resource is not verified, the particular situation of each broadcaster will be maintained.
The spirit of this standard seeks to encourage and encourage the development of Open Digital TV in all provinces of the country, guaranteeing the best possible quality of service and image in an equitable manner.
Those interested can register for the public hearings as well as submit contributions and opinions through the Distance Procedures (TAD) platform, by completing the form available by clicking here.
