Brazil. Three novelties presented by the company Tecsys at SET Expo. The first was its 2K transmitter approved by Anatel, the second is the shared site system through which four transmitters can be receiving the satellite under a single antenna.
"This is a system that is going to be very interesting for the Brazilian market, especially in small municipalities and localities," Carlos Henrique Ferreira, Tecsys' export director, told TVyVideo+Radio.
The third novelty presented by the company was the transmitter equipment powered by DC for use in shared sites between telephony and broadcast stations.
Two years ago Tecsys began manufacturing transmitters and today they have a 20% market share in Brazil. They have had a good acceptance in a market in which they did not participate and now the bets are on the renewal of the transmitters in the face of the analog blackout scheduled for 2023.
"At the end of 2019 the main cities of Brazil finish their digitalization process, the small cities to which our solutions are adjusted continue. On the rest of Latin America, we are working with other teams and supporting our agreement with Tredes for the development of the regional market," said Ferreira.
