Brazil. The Brazilian Soccer Cup, the 2017 and 2018 Copa Libertadores de America final, and more recently the CONMEBOL tournaments for 2019 and the Mexican League, all have one feature in common, they use EVS's Xeebra system for video refereeing.
Bruno Pessoa, EVS product specialist for Brazil, told TVyVideo+Radio that the characteristics of this system have allowed it to be adopted by Latin football leagues, which join a large number of sports leagues, not only soccer, that have implemented the Xeebra system.
"A match with 8 cameras can be done with a single server. A party with more cameras can bring more servers together up to 24 cameras under a single client interface. For the operator, it's easy to choose the cameras they want to send to the referee to review a play," he said.
In the framework of SET Expo in Brazil, EVS was presenting this system with its most recent update, which includes an impediment line option that allows referees to review in graphic detail the positions of a particular play.
