SET Expo 2018 brings together the main audiovisual brands

Brazil. In addition to an intense program of talks and debates at its Congress, the SET EXPO 2018 also offers visitors an exhibition area with several of the most important technology brands aimed at capturing sound, image, transmission and operation for the entire audiovisual production chain. Market references, such as Sony, Canon, Eutelsat, Verizon Digital, among others, have confirmed participation. In total, there will be 150 exhibiting companies, representing more than 400 national and international brands.

The event takes place this week at the Convention Center of the Expo Center Norte, and is organized by the SET, a reference association of the audiovisual technology sector in Brazil, which completes 30 years in 2018.

Get to know the news of some of the exhibitors
Panasonic, for example, must present the AK-UC4000 4K studio camera, which was launched this year at the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) fair. It is the first time it has been exhibited in Brazil.

As a leading satellite operator, SES seeks to support TV broadcasters and operators so that they can keep up with the constant changes in the way their consumers watch TV – not only in the offer of the satellite band, but also in service offerings that go beyond the capacity of the satellite. Visitors to the stand will learn more about its new telepet, located in Hortolandia, and how this state-of-the-art facility enables SES to offer a new range of data and video services for its customers. The Teleport will specifically manage SES-14 operations, which will be operational in September: TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking and Remote Control), HTS Traffic Management (High Throughput Satellite), as well as the transmission of signals through a wide range of satellite beams.

Fujifilm anticipates that in this edition of the event it will show the new Fujinon lenses of the UA UHD 4K 2/3 " lines, MK and Cabrio de Cine. Another highlight will be the alignment of the X Series: professional lenses and cameras that are being re-launched in Brazil, especially the X-H1 model, equipped with many features for video production. Whoever passes by the stand will also be able to test the resources of the UA24x7.8BERD lens, and get to know the X-H1 camera of the X Series.

For universe cloud service, one of the highlights is the partnership between Digilab and Embratel, which leads to the exhibition area of the solutions of reproduction events and transcoding of this technology.

And by talking in the cloud, EiTV wants to show visitors to EiTV CLOUD. The service allows to place on the air, live and with global reach, the programming of a small television station of local size. Another EiTV solution for the use of screens is the distribution of the wiring signal in many independent devices. Like the TV available in the hotel rooms.

The radio broadcast segment is also part of the SET Expo. Biquad, for example, shows its association with italy's RVR. According to the exhibitor, only 30% of the stations that have an interest in migrating from AM to FM concluded this process in Brazil. For this market, they show models of transmitters from 30 to 60 thousand watts of power.

Content scheduling
The entire exhibition of products takes place parallel to the consecrated program of talks and debates of the SET Expo Congress. Four simultaneous rooms over four days bring together more than 1,500 participants, who will be able to attend and interact with more than 250 market experts.

Programming includes topics such as innovation and disruptive technologies; content production; audiovisual contribution and infrastructure; audiovisual distribution; consumer electronics; and regulatory and standardization matters. All media are covered: from applications to smartphones; from drones to cameras and editing islands; from television to film; from satellites to video streaming. In addition, all entertainment products, such as series, movies, documentaries, radio, music, journalism, sports, advertising and games.
