International. LSB Broadcast Technologies GmbH, German developer and manufacturer of television control, is now renamed Lawo and is fully integrated into the structure of the Lawo company, including all its products. Service, support and project management with a focus on R&D for Virtual Studio Manager, VSM, will be maintained in Wiesbaden, while sales will be served through Lawo in Rastatt.
For many years, LSB and Lawo have worked closely together. The full integration of LSB into the Lawo brand represents the consequent result of the joint commitment to generate synergies, particularly in international sales and customer service. The common goal is to advance VSM as a manufacturer-independent control system, which is open to all remote protocols, and to establish the new TheWALL multivisor control software worldwide.
Jamie Dunn, Head of Global Sales for Lawo, formerly LSB, said: "Our clients will benefit from this integration in many ways. Additional R&D resources within Lawo and extensive experience in user interface design complement the existing capability at the current Lawo GmbH team in Wiesbaden, in order to further develop the VSM toolbox and user experience. These expanded resources will allow VSM and TheWall to evolve even faster and better tailored to customer needs and requirements."
Andreas Hilmer, Director of Marketing and Communications, added: "With this step we have reached a new level of R&D, knowledge and experience. By expanding Lawo's portfolio of IP-based networking, video and audio products with solutions for global and comprehensive control, we serve the broadcasting industry by integrating VSM even better in depth, offering turnkey solutions from a single source."
