International. At IBC, Blackmagic presented its novelties for the film and television industry. Among them are the update and the new lenses for the Ursa mini camera.
Taking advantage of some delays in the manufacture of the Ursa mini, which began distribution in September after being launched at NAB, some changes such as input and timecode were included in the same connector, so that now you have a free connection for the addition of 12G-SDI input.
There is a program button that allows you to select to view the 12G-SDI input on the foldable screen or viewfinder. Both the EF and PL models of URSA Mini will have this 12G-SDI input. In addition, the GPS that had been initially included had to be removed because they failed to achieve reliable satellite reception with the current design.
In terms of lenses, the camera has a new mount in the PL reference that allows you to add a B4 lens easily and quickly. This new lens control connector on the Ursa Mini PL supports both analog and digital lens control standards. This means that you can even use lenses larger than B4 in emission control with analog lens.
When the URSA Mini is running HD with these HD lenses, it can get up to 80 frames per second.
