Brazil. In the version of SET Expo that has just ended, JVC was present with its entire line of cameras, among them the studio, field and production cameras.
Pedro Mees, director for Latin America of JVC, indicated that among the novelties presented was the GY HM300, a 35 mm 4K production camera with micro 4/3 lens mount, in which they developed a sensor technology that can work natively with lenses up to 16 mm.
"We are one of the few who are recording 4K to SD cards at 150 mega bits per second in Ultra HD, which is a very popular format now for making 4K edits. Our concept is not only to have a good camera, to have a good capture, it is also to deliver a good workflow to do the editing of the material," he said.
JVC also presented its studio cameras with fiber connection and cameras that allow connectivity, technology that they have been working on for four years and with which they began streaming since the first year.
"The continuation of the work is to turn that streaming into a very robust solution that can be used in the field, such as in the production of news, which transmits from anywhere and overcoming the difficulties that are had with the infrastructure in telecommunications within Latin cities. To obtain this, we implement algorithms and packaging that allow us to serve the transmission with solidity and security," added Pedro Mees.
To create its solutions, JVC also relies on technologies developed by other companies that integrate into its research. As an ultimate result is adaptive compression in their cameras.
