Colombia. 30 years ago, the first regional channel in Colombia began broadcasting: Teleantioquia. With the intervention of the then President of the Republic, Belisario Betancourt and the Minister of Communications, Noemí Sanín, what would serve as an example of innovation and entrepreneurship for other regions of the country in the field of television was inaugurated.
The feat began in 1984, a year before the transmission, when two decrees related to television were authorized: National Decree 3100 authorizing the creation of regional television channels or channels, and another, 3101, which authorized INRAVISIÓN to sign a partnership contract with the Departmental Companies of Antioquia – EDA – to establish a regional channel in Antioquia. Colombia today has eight regional channels that have their own content and are seen throughout our geography.
Many have been the characters who have had their space in these channels and have left their voice on what the regional channels represent for their regions of influence and transmission.
Teleantioquia reaches 30, with 374 employees, with Edumóvil, a mobile unit and a substantial change in its business model.
It is no longer just a TV channel is a company that generates content for multiple screens and platforms.
