Argentina. Business Bureau presented the Channel Benchmarks Cinema and Series in Latam, in which it analyzes and surveys a total of 100 signals that are distributed in 17 countries in Latin America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
After having published Channel Benchmarks Deportes, the Business Bureau's Reports department presented the highlights of its latest edition, Señales Cine y Series. With primary information captured by its own Data Center, the Company proposes a complete report of the coverage of all existing Signals of the genre by country (17 in total), distribution, position in grid including appearance in digital packages.
According to analysts at Channel Benchmarks, there are more than 2,000 Pay-TV signals in the region, of which 7% are film and series signals. In relation to the signals in high definition within the genre, 26 cinema signals and series in HD are distributed.
Among the countries included in the report, the Dominican Republic is the country with the highest number of film and series signals, with a total of 74 signals available, followed by Mexico with 72 and Honduras with 67. The Ranking continues with Guatemala, which has 64 and then, Colombia with 61 Signals.
The signals with maximum distribution are TNT and FOX followed by Universal Channel, Space and FX, taking the countries studied.
In relation to the Outstanding Signals exclusively of Series, FOX, AXN and Warner Channel stand out. On the other hand, FOX is the one that reaches the highest number of subscribers within the TOP 5 of the countries studied.
According to the Report, the following signals are available in the 17 countries studied by the Film and Series Benchmark: AXN HD, A&E, AMC (Latin America), Cinemax, Film&Arts, Fox, Fox HD, Fx, Sony, Sony HD, Space, Space HD, Studio Universal, Sundance Channel, Syfy, TMC Classic, Hollywood, TNT, TNT HD, Universal Channel, Universal Channel HD, Warner Channel and Warner Channel HD.
