Argentina. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the arrival of cable television in Argentina, on March 19 and 20, different events were held, led by the Argentine Association of Cable Television (ATVC) in conjunction with the Buenos Aires Television Association (ABT).
The programmed activities sought to highlight the values of the industry, reaffirming before society its value as a provider of information, education, entertainment and internet to Argentine households.
The activities included an extraordinary meeting of the ATVC Board of Directors; the ABT Annual Assembly; a panel discussion on the "Regulatory Challenges of the Cable TV Industry going Forward"; and an act, with the presence of the Governor, where the incorporation into the grid of the cables of the Province of Buenos Aires nucleated in the ABT of the signal of the Province DIGO TV was reflected.
The table: "Regulatory challenges of the Cable TV industry for the future", which is led by Walter Burzaco, President of ATVC, was attended by Gerardo Milman, National Deputy and Director of the Federal Authority for Audiovisual Communication Services; Henoch Aguiar, former Secretary of Communications and lawyer specializing in telecommunications and broadcasting; and José Crettaz, Journalist of the Nation specialized in media and technology.
