Wiko has arrived in Spain with the intention of repeating the success achieved in its neighboring country France, where in just seven months it has been placed in third place in the free smartphone market with a 10.5 percent share, according to data from GfK.
It was this Wednesday when the Chinese firm based in Shenzhen has announced through a press release its arrival in Spain. The products it will offer will be 'smartphones' of the latest generation "at unbeatable prices that have nothing to envy to the most popular terminals on the market".
These phones will feature a large HD IPS touchscreen, anti-scratch (Gorilla Glass) and will be equipped with Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). In addition, the terminals of the Chinese firm will integrate Quad Core processors, which will allow to achieve great power. To take pictures and record videos in high definition, WIKO phones reach a resolution of up to 13 Megapixels.
In 2012 the Wiko factory sold 25 million mobile phones worldwide and today it is present in more than 30 countries. Likewise, the aforementioned brand has become the fourth Chinese mobile manufacturer, after Huawei, ZTE and TCL.
Wiko is the only manufacturer specialized only in mobile phones, which provides "an incomparable speed of development, given the concentration on a single task," says Wiko herself. More than 1,000 employees work at its headquarters, of which 600 are in the R&D department. Its goal for this 2013 -according to the company in the aforementioned statement- is to reach the figure of 35 million mobiles sold worldwide.
