Colombia. For 24 hours, starting on February 22, the local channel of Medellín Telemedellin will make an uninterrupted transmission where the main stage is the city and what happens in 24 hours in its 16 communes and 5 corregimientos.
This transmission, which has been cataloged as the first large-scale collaborative TV experience in Colombia, seeks to produce content not only from the media but from ordinary people, allowing everyone to participate as transmitters of their own messages, that is, that they themselves are the creators of the content they want to see and that supply their needs and interests.
In this way they seek that minute by minute the corner, the neighborhood, the streets, the daily life and its people are registered, highlighting the innovative, technological and social potential that the city and its inhabitants have.
To achieve this, they will have available around 20 reporting cameras rotating through the different communes of the city. In addition, they will have content generation by citizens through the sending of videos they make from their own cameras and mobile devices.
The artistic groups will be able to perform in real time from any of the cameras arranged, after consultation with the Canal. To this will be added the cameras and screens on public roads of Publik, the Medellín Metro, the control center of the Ministry of Mobility and the ESU.
For those who wish to participate in this day, the organizers emphasize that the videos must not alter the dignity or privacy of any person and must be recorded on the same day of the transmission with a maximum duration of one minute. More information in m24.telemedellin.tv
