Argentina. Yahoo Screen is the new video channel that Yahoo's local headquarters in Argentina launched at the beginning of the year, in which users will be able to find content classified by different categories, among other entertainment, news, sports, finance and fashion.
But undoubtedly one of the attractions of the portal are its exclusive series, the first of them called Electric City and Cybergeddon. The original programs and videos that will be found can be produced by Yahoo or partner producers, as well as video content from news organizations.
The structure of the portal by categories is composed of individual pages of the programs and thematic pages, all classified according to the editorial planning, from the most popular videos to the most interesting.
In addition to the two exclusive series, Yahoo Screen Argentina counts among its original content OMG! Today, a weekly news program that offers users the possibility to be up to date with the latest news from Argentine celebrities, to stay updated on what the celebrities did or said.
The question that many are asking is whether this local channel is a test for what could be a global strategy of Yahoo that seeks to compete with the Youtube portal.
