Colombia. Panasonic Brazil's engineer, Maciel Albuquerque, spent a week touring three Colombian cities in order to train the brand's customers in the recently acquired technologies. These trainings were held in Bogota, Barranquilla and Medellin, with the help of their local distributor, Era Electrónica.
TVyVideo+Radio spoke with Juan Ospina and Esteban Ospina, directors of the local distributor, who said that these trainings revolved around PTZ cameras and other Panasonic products, taking the opportunity to give customers a refresh on those tips on how to use and get the best out of the products.
And since Era Electrónica is an authorized Panasonic service center in Colombia, the company's engineers also received training and updating on the new products.
Juan Ospina highlighted that "We train our customers, such as Teleantioquia, in the use of PTZ cameras, controls and other recently acquired equipment. In addition, we are training our technicians, acquiring new measurement equipment to have an optimal service center to provide the best experience and solution to customers."
And it was precisely the PTZ cameras that helped Era Electrónica close 2023 on a positive note. In this regard, Juan Ospina indicated that "These cameras are not a new product in the market, but they are being strongly implemented in Colombia. Panasonic gave us the data from Brazil, where more or less 52% to 55% of the cameras in production centers and channels use PTZ cameras or robotic cameras. That's a global trend."
