Chile. The National Television Council's Fund for the Promotion of the Production of Quality Programming opened its 2024 call for audiovisual producers.
"Television continues to occupy an essential place in homes where people watch more than 4 hours a day. That is why it is important to diversify the content on the screen, that there are regional and local perspectives and quality programming that is a contribution to citizens," said the president of CNTV.
Since its first award in 1993, the CNTV Fund has awarded more than 450 audiovisual productions, including successful and iconic projects on Chilean TV such as: "31 Minutes", "The Eighties", "The Cardinal's Files", "The Replacement", "A Necessary Story", "What You Dream Of", "The Red Boy", "No", "The Mole Agent", "Violeta Went To Heaven", "Inés del Alma Mía", "Isabel", "Neruda" and "El Bosque de Karadima".
Throughout its history, the CNTV Fund has been key in the promotion of children's programming on open television with programs such as "Hola Flinko", "Petit", "Raffi", "Puerto Papel" and many others. Also in the promotion of programs of regional origin where 30% of the funds are allocated preferentially to these programs, regardless of the line in which they apply.
The rules of the 2024 edition of the CNTV Fund are now available at the following link: https://cntv.cl/fondo-cntv/concurso-fondo-cntv-2024/
