Latin America. After having implemented a new commercial development strategy in 2022 together with Merlin Distributor as master distributor of the region, and after the good result achieved, the manufacturer Aja Video Systems bets again for 2023 with the same scheme.
"For NAB Show we will have new products that we will be launching to the market", thus begins the talk Manny Rosado, Territory Manager Reseller & Engineering of AJA Video Systems, showing that 2023 will again be an important year for his company.
With reference to the commercial balance obtained last year by AJA focusing on Latin America, Rosado effusively states: "We have had a great year, we are very satisfied with all the work that has been done in Latin America and the growing positioning that AJA has had in the market, so the plan is to continue working in the same line that we have been doing throughout 2022, we will continue to maintain the relationship with Merlin Distributor throughout the master distribution in the region, so they will direct the strategies for all events, and of course AJA will be supporting all the actions that are carried out in the region along with our presence in each event of our industry that takes place in Latin America or when required. "
Within the production process of part of its product line, AJA Video Systems has also been like many companies in the industry with the well-known problems of component supply, since redesigns have been made in some of its products and the company is in the process of including the new components and this process is somewhat delayed by this issue, "We still have products that we are delivering, so we are in that process in which we are concluding the redesign of a significant number of products for immediate delivery, which once this whole process is concluded, will be available to the market."
Success in distribution with Merlin Distributor
"Merlin Distributor has been in the Broadcast area a really very effective distributor, they have met 100% the distribution guidelines, obtaining an excellent sales result and an exact model as a distributor, so from AJA they are giving all the support and attention they need from our part, "says Rosado, so under the same commercial structure that has been developing, AJA Video Systems is ready for this year that has begun.
"AJA has already made a work plan and presence in Latin American markets together with Merlin Distributor in which we will be participating, which in addition to the classic industry conventions in Latin America, we will also have participation in the events held by Merlin in five cities in Brazil, both in Brasilia, Recife, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, which are events that take place every year and have an excellent result, so there too Aja will be present as always, "he added.
With the focus on 2023
Although the sales success achieved in 2022 has been very positive for the company, there are also still pending due to the known problems that manufacturers are going through and that little by little the expectation that this will normalize is already beginning to be fulfilled, to which Manny Rosado refers about the first goal that his company has at the beginning of the year:
"In 2023, supply chain issues that have been a challenge for all suppliers are stabilizing and we expect backorders to be addressed quickly. AJA continues to see healthy order rates in all our product categories, and secondly, already with a view to the development of the year, starting with the NAB Show in Las Vegas along with all our new product launches, we plan to be exhibiting all our novelties of the year in all the Latin American fairs that we will be present, showing our commitment to continue to be at the side of all our customers in the region as we have always done, both in Broadcast events that take place in countries such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Peru or Chile".
AJA on the market
Rosado concluded with his high expectations for the region in 2023: "We will be as always very attentive to the needs of each market and our network of distributors in the region, so the message for Latin America that we have been making is well and very clear, and in that line we plan to continue working. AJA has always had a strong commitment to Latin America, starting with all the technology that is necessary for the market and all the products that we manufacture has a good focus and support for the Latin American market, because they are products that are common, both for the Broadcast and audiovisual markets, so with all the new products that we have planned to bring to the market, it will certainly be a great year for AJA."
