International. ENCO kicks off the new year with a strong message of business growth through the acquisition of Rushworks, a provider of production, reproduction, broadcast and professional robotics for the professional audiovisual and broadcast markets.
The acquisition strengthens ENCO's range of professional audio and video technology while adding proven products and integrated solutions that will drive expansion into new markets and applications.
ENCO will retain all Rushworks staff and has opened a new office at a new facility in Highland Village, Texas. Rushworks founder Rush Beesley will continue to lead sales and marketing for the RUSHWORKS product line, and the two engineering teams will join forces to develop new products and innovations in the future. This includes integrating ENCO's automated subtitling and translation services into existing RUSHWORKS products.
"ENCO is the world leader in real-time subtitles with its patented enCaption technology," said Beesley. "The integration of its powerful high-precision captioning engine with our broadcast automation, integrated PTZ production, and courtroom transmission and production systems will ensure mutual customers can comply with government regulations and provide critical captioning, transcription and translation services to audiences around the world."
Beesley notes that ENCO and Rushworks are teaming up at a time of need for broadcasters as they adapt to changing production and delivery models, while adding that AV integrators and technology managers are looking for more "powerfully simple" integrated hardware and software solutions that simplify operations within schools. courts, municipalities and other audiovisual environments.
"In broadcasting, over-the-air and cable television systems are rapidly converging with OTT models, while radio stations are adding local production tools to support video podcasting and visual radio content," Beesley said. They now place greater emphasis on building complementary technologies into their workflows that are closer to complete systems. Our integrated video production systems, specialized robotic production products and streaming solutions perfectly complement ENCO's proven automated and live subtitling and production systems for these markets around the world."
Ken Frommert, president of ENCO, said Rushworks' innovations bring a new capability to ENCO's product line that further sets the company apart from the competition. Customers will also benefit from having a single source of technical support for all integrated ENCO and Rushworks products and solutions in the future.
ENCO will formally present the Rushworks product line as an ENCO brand at the upcoming ISE 2023 fair (January 31 to February 3, Fira Barcelona Gran Via, stand CS544) and NAB 2023 (April 16-19, booth N5625, Las Vegas Convention).
