Guatemala. Coverage of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games became a technological challenge for many television stations with the need to retransmit the source signal to their affiliated channels efficiently and economically appropriate; Atelsa, LiveU's partner in Guatemala, designed an end-to-end transmission flow that made it possible for 10 TV channels of the Albavisión alliance to receive the signal from Tokyo in real time and HD quality.
Allen Maldonado, General Manager of Atelsa explained the design of the broadcast strategy "Albavisión, from Guatemala, needed to distribute the Tokyo signal, we from Atelsa equipped them to receive it in three LU800 units and four LU600 placed in rack format, the Tokyo signal was sent to 10 countries through LiveU Matrix" explained Maldonado.
The solution designed by Atelsa was possible with the incorporation of LU2000 servers supplied by the LiveU partner alliance in the region, who joined the strategy in a format of technological collaboration and cost reduction for the client.
José Luis Reyes, Vice President LiveU LatAm "The flexibility of LiveU technology allows us to create advanced solutions for the constant challenges that live production requires; we are pleased to see our partners create cutting-edge responses to our customers' needs," he said.
The Tokyo 2020 signal was decoded in Guatemala with LU800 and LU600 units and distributed with LiveU Matrix from LU2000 servers to Peru, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Honduras, Bolivia, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and El Salvador.
