Brazil. The MCR broadcast system established for InterTV, Globo TV's affiliate network, has ChannelMaker at the center of the automation workflow. wTVision provided 6 ChannelMaker systems for major broadcast operations, along with 6 backup systems, to ensure flawless transmission at all times.
Supporting ChannelMaker in its automation tasks, we find an extensive list of wTVision products such as R³ Space Engine, our real-time 3D graphics rendering engine, or Media Tools, a powerful ingest and cut solution that enriches the video workflow from any channel.
wTVision also provided InterTV with its own server, making it easy to create ChannelMaker's automation and playout operations.
To control all the media available on the network and ensure that it reaches its intended destination, ChannelMaker integrates with MAM. Our media management tool provides robustness to any production with a fully automated and simplified operation.
In the case of InterTV, wTVision's Media Manager is particularly important, as it is integrated into the channel's OPEC system. With this configuration, InterTV can analyze ad lists in real time, identify competitive clashes, and find the right option in a fully automated environment. This allows InterTV to generate more revenue, reduce costs and create a more efficient space for advertisers.
In addition, the operators and specialists in charge of monitoring and controlling the InterTV playout were trained by our team, which guarantees constant technical support.
"The challenge for InterTV's Engineering Department was to implement a new Central Cast model, integrating 5 channels, a reserve channel and a preparation for future expansions. The facilities had to use ready-made technology (equipment that can be easily purchased and replaced), robust and fully redundant, in addition to finding an automation that would adapt to that hardware, without wasting resources. We find in wTVision the alliance we seek to provide automation solution, develop and customize functionalities according to the needs identified by operators, even with the challenges imposed by the pandemic. The system has been up in the air for almost a year and continues to improve continuously," said Sérgio Mansano, InterTV's Director of Engineering.
For the first time in the years of wTVision in Brazil, our playout system is responsible for broadcasting on 5 different channels, spread over 3 different states (Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Norte), under the Central Cast model.
This complex operation designed by wTVision guarantees the operational efficiency that InterTV was looking for. Thanks to this new playout automation model, the channel was able to centralize operations, have greater control over content and be more profitable.
