Colombia. MinTic extended the deadline until May 7 at 11:59 p.m. so that organized ethnic communities can file their proposals to continue with the process to achieve one of the 240 community stations that will be delivered this year.
Minister Karen Abudinen invites organized ethnic communities to participate in this call that will make available broadcasters in 239 municipalities in 31 departments where there are recognized ethnic settlements.
The ICT minister added that with this call "we will ensure that the voice of these ethnic peoples is heard in the country and reach more municipalities that do not have a community station to bring their population relevant information, entertainment and education through the radio."
In this call, the ethnic communities of our country will be able to participate, both in the municipalities and in the non-municipalized areas where there was an expression of interest and radio spectrum available to provide the service according to the technical analysis carried out by the National Spectrum Agency (ANE).
