Latin America. Broadpeak announced the next generation of its BkYou ad personalization solution, with new ad preparation capabilities.
BkYou offers pay-TV operators and content providers an end-to-end solution for ad insertion, supporting the entire process of ad personalization from the source server to transcoding, packaging and delivery to end-user devices, with reports to enable deeper insights into ad consumption.
"Consumer demand for personalized content, including ads, has really increased globally," said Jacques Le Mancq, CEO of Broadpeak. "With the latest version of our BkYou ad personalization solution, we are helping customers address this important trend. New features, such as ultra-fast transcoding, end-to-end management, and ad packaging, optimize targeted advertising delivery that operators and content providers can enhance monetization opportunities."
The new BkYou can drive the monetization of live video streaming, cloud PVR and VOD services delivered via the HLS or DASH format. With this latest release, Broadpeak has increased the number of ads that operators and content providers can support in their library offering, allowing for more ad options and additional possibilities for video monetization. BkYou has also been optimized with faster transcoding and an ad backup mechanism that maximizes the number of ad impressions and reduces errors.
In addition, Broadpeak has enhanced BkYou with new hosting and ad packaging capabilities. These capabilities have been added to the solution's existing manifest manipulator features, increasing operator scalability so that targeted ads can be better addressed during popular live events while supporting VOD and PVR use cases in the cloud.
In addition to these major improvements, BkYou is built on providing superior ecosystem reach and is agnostic, offering seamless integration with all major ad decision servers. BkYou is IAB certified and complies with the organization's Open Measurement Software Development Kit (OM SDK), the digital advertising industry standard for facilitating third-party access to measurement data.
