Brazil. Rede Matogrossense de Comunicação (RMC) is a regional communication network based in Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil. She is affiliated with Rede Globo and works in radio, television and the Internet. Its main headquarters are located in Campo Grande, in Mato Grosso do Sul. In radio it operates the trademarks Morena FM, Centro América FM Easy and Centro América FM Hits.
The group has been using AEQ digital consoles since 2014. They started with the first 12 Faders FORUM digital consoles for the Station Centro América FM HITS - (101.5 MHz) Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso.
To equip the Station Centro América FM EASY -(99.1 MHz) in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, they used together with the FORUM console of 12 Faders its older sister, the Gran Forum 20 Faders. At the time they were among the first users of AEQ Forum consoles to connect the consoles in ip Dante network through FR14 cards.
With the accumulated experience, now when undertaking the renovation of Morena FM - (107.1 MHz) in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul a system with 100% IP signal distribution was conceived. Sound mixing is done through AEQ's latest Forum console model, the 24-fader FORUM IP SPLIT. On the IP network they coexist with a Yamaha production console, with Playout computers and with the Orban audio processor. This processor sends its program output to the sending center in AES/EBU format.
AEQ Forum Split is a mixing board designed for ON AIR emission control. It incorporates all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic cutting of monitors, cough cutting, faderstart, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications, intercom, etc. With modular design and small size, it adapts perfectly to different scenarios: self-control, control-locutorio, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations, integration in large facilities, etc.
For access to the IP network of analog and digital signals in the Technical Central of Programs of the station, in the link room and other places, the network is complemented with the use of AEQ IP Interfaces, of the Netbox 32 and Netbox 8 models.
In addition to the local IP network in Dante, Morena FM uses AEQ Mercury audiocodecs for the transport of program in COMPRESSED IP with the Cuiabá station. They also use a pair of AEQ Mercury and AEQ ALIO audiocodecs to link with events outside the station.
The technical head of Rede Matogrossense de Comunicação (RMC) Mr Leidson Concencao stated "Morena FM is one of the largest radio stations in the Midwest region of the country. In this new station, we have advanced in the integration and distribution of signals, from different platforms to the AoIP solution, starting from keeping all the previous equipment that was possible operational. Being a daring project we are committed to the reliability and versatility of the AEQ brand equipment that has been used since 2014 by the radio network, thus guaranteeing the quality already known".
