Argentina. The Government of Argentina presented the national connectivity plan Conecta, which aims to universalize access to state-of-the-art broadband Internet, the reactivation of the Argentine Satellite Plan and the updating of open digital television, TDA.
The Connect Plan contemplates the development, construction and putting into orbit of a new satellite, the first of the second generation, which will be oriented to the occupation of the orbital positions of Argentina and the advancement of the telecommunications satellite industry. In turn, it will provide high-quality satellite connectivity to 200,000 rural households.
In addition, the Federal Fiber Optic Network will be updated and extended to 38,808 kilometers, the equipment of the hundred stations of the Open Digital Television (TDA) will be renewed and the ARSAT National Data Center will be valued, which will reduce costs and save foreign currency in cloud services.
