IBC 2011, full of innovation

altAgain in September comes the global fair for professionals related to the creation, administration and transmission of entertainment, which will be held from September 8 to 13 in Amsterdam RAI, in the Netherlands.

In 2010, IBC gathered more than 48,000 attendees from 140 countries and more than 1,300 companies showcased their products from the broadcasting and content generation industry around the world.

For this 2011, attendees will be able to know the trends of the sector and the new developments in terms of mobile television, IPTV, digital signage and R & D, both in the commercial exhibition and in the conferences, which will allow them to understand where the industry is going and what its future is.

The 44th version of IBC will have 13 exhibition halls promising to provide attendees with the latest developments and trends in the industry, as well as networking opportunities in a professional environment in which experiences and knowledge can be exchanged with other members of the industry. The event will feature demonstrations, certified training sessions, as well as the delivery of the IBC2011 Innovation Awards.

Agenda for Leaders

Broadcast professionals will be able to analyze, debate and share about the data and aspects of the electronic entertainment industry in the conferences that will be held at IBC which will deal with topics such as TV connection devices, 3D, new generations of workflows, advertising, sports, social media, production, new opportunities, among others.

It should be noted that this programming is based on the changes that are taking place in the creation, management and delivery of entertainment content and news in the world.

Everything is ready for this version of IBC to fill Amsterdan with technology, excitement and entertainment.

WHAT'S NEW IN IBC 2011


Nevion

The manufacturer of systems for broadcasters, service providers and government agencies in the world, Nevion, will present at IBC 2011 some new developments as well as improvements in its family of signal processing and broadcast video distribution flashlink solutions that includes modules for format conversion, frame synchronizers, encoders and decoders, couplers, converters and distribution amplifiers.

Attendees will also be able to learn about the new ASI changeover switch (FRS-HD-CHO-ASI) that provides protection to the switches, a dual 3G synchronizer (FRS-3G-DUAL), and an 8-port distribution amplifier (DA-3GHD-8-DL). In addition, a 2x2 switch (CleanSW-2x2) so that there are no interruptions of 3G/HD/SD-SDI and embedded audio, a new and fully compatible SMPTE-3G-SDI time division multiplexer and the new 3G-SDI version of the company's converters (UDC-UPC/DWC/CRC-3G).

Front Porch Digital

In the 2011 edition of IBC, Fornt Porch Digital will exhibit several new features such as the online publishing tool DIVApublish mpx that offers the media in a simple and functional way in accordance with the use of content and the integration of workflows. This system distributes content to multiple locations and devices.


DIVApublish mpx is fully integrated with the company's content management systems such as DIVArchive and DIVAdirector which makes it possible to extend workflows on digital files beyond a company and within distribution channels.


The video migration tool, SAMMAsolo HD, will also be present at Amsterdan. It supports real-time, quality-controlled performance in migrating content from HD videotape to a secure digital environment for easy preservation and access.


The DIVAdirector, an asset management system, allows operators to use their web servers to search, locate and retrieve stored media assets directly from their desktop. At IBC, the company will introduce V4.2 which adds an improved and simplified browser interface.

Snell

New products and improvements in different digital solutions will be presented by Snell at IBC 2011

Conversion standards for file-based workflows, a redefinition of the "channel-in-a-box" model, the introduction of a new standard in multi-format routers, and a new approach to modular infrastructure.

channel-in-a-box continuity provides a full range of functionality to reduce the cost of some systems. Version 2.2 of Morpheus ICE introduces additional tools for improving the visibility of HD and/or SD channels. Operators can generate automatic vertical or horizontal advances by URL or RSSo manually creating the information source and by the DVE multi-effect mixer can involve different content on the air while the insertion of graphics and audio effects is given.


 


On the other hand, the large-scale series of Sirius 800 multi-format routers that integrates audio functionality. It supports embedded audio routing and audio track swapping into inputs and outputs allowing users a combination of integrated and MADI sources. The 800 series eliminates the need for modular external cards and saves space and energy.

NeoGroupe

On this occasion, NeoGroupe will present its new division of custom applications dedicated to the development of services for customers in the media industry in a field of interaction and application areas that include programming, sales, production, broadcasting, verification, notifications and more.
The software development company will exhibit at IBC several of its latest releases such as the NeoScreener TV, developed in conjunction with Media Broadcast Technology (MBT). this system makes it possible to receive audience reactions in real time, making it possible to moderate and publish comments such as subtitles on TV. There will also be the NeoScreener for Telos VX, a call management solution that now has VOIP capabilities.
Another of the solutions that will be presented is the NeoWinners Version 3 Television and Radio, which provides a wide range of improvements including an intuitive interface, support for RDBMSs (Microsoft SQL, Oracle, MySQL, DB2, Informix, AS/400), as well as IT environment and multichannel management with Internet distribution capabilities in order to increase the audience.

Haivision

At IBC, Haivision will launch its latest generation of H.264-powered equipment, the Viper MAX, which combines H.264 coding with an integrated Furnace™ operating environment. Through a touch screen, operators can select a multi-channel session, initiate simultaneous and automatic transmission and recording of the contents available for viewing on demand. The Viper captures high-resolution, full-frame-rate, dual-channel content synchronously, ensuring contextual review.

Haivision will also introduce Viper, a compact, integrated team for capturing, transmitting, reviewing, distributing and publishing content for multiple receivers. The Viper can also simultaneously download the recordings from the Furnace™ IP video system. This solution is ideal for medicine, education and media business systems.

Another system that will be present at IBC will be Furnace™ 6.0 with MultiStream, an IP video solution that has advanced recording and publishing functions to allow customers to capture and distribute multistream video content in a synchronized manner.

Chyron

The AXIS World Graphics platform that will be presented at IBC is characterized by being cloud-based. This graphics creation system, which has been specially designed for broadcast professionals, simplifies and facilitates the process of creating graphics for journalists, production assistants, producers, among others.
This solution has tools to develop press charts, electronic order management and asset management. The company expects by 2012 to offer the creation of high-resolution maps, 3D graphics and financial.
The BlueNet™ solution will also be showcased at IBC. This is a solution that directs and streamlines graphics workflows, minimizing on-air creation time and ensuring news and sports are presented more quickly.

Mosart Medialab AS
In version 47 of IBC, Mosart will exhibit some of its systems among which is the Mosart Newscast Automation 3.0, a studio automation system that has a configurable graphical user interface that increases versatility. Within this system you can integrate cameras, clips and graphics to which buttons can be assigned to facilitate easy and quick access.
Mosart also includes an improvement in the handling of macros, sequences and loops. Mosart's sequence tool allows the various parallel paths to run on the studio wall.

Calrec Audio

During IBC, the company specialized in audio, will launch its double-fader audio console, Apolo, which offers the same processing power with the double number of faders. Calrec has understood that in the fast-paced live TV environment, users need control of all the details, so that this system allows two layers of channels to be available simultaneously.

Apollo is based on the company's mixing system, Bluefin™2, which provides more than 1020 processing channels, 128 program buses, 96 IFB/Track outputs and 48 auxiliary ones.
