Peru. In order to publicize the benefits of a greater deployment of telecommunications antennas in the most remote areas of the country, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, MTC, began the dissemination of various informative messages on this important subject, in native languages: Quechua, Asháninka, Awajún and Aymara.
"Antenakunaqa suyunchispa karu llaqtakunaman willakuykunata chayachimun hinallataq kutichimullantaq allintaqmi rimanakuyninchiskunata uyarichiwanchis ima. Antenakunaqa mana ch'ikiyuqchu, aswanmi rune masinchiskunanwanmi willanakuyninchis allinyachinmi. Coronavirus unquytaqa mana mirachinchu".
With this message in Quechua, the sector clarifies that telecommunications structures do not represent a danger to the health of the population, but, on the contrary, help improve the communication of all Peruvians. At the same time, it rules out that the presence of the antennas causes the spread of Covid-19.
Likewise, using the Ashaninka language, the strict protocols that the operator companies have been complying with to avoid an eventual contagion of Covid-19 are specified, during the work planned for the installation or maintenance of the structures.
In this way and thanks to the joint work with other sectors, such as the Ministry of Culture, the MTC guarantees the right of indigenous or native peoples to be informed in their mother tongues, respecting their values, uses and customs, about the importance of telecommunications antennas for better communication throughout the national territory.
