Rohde & Schwarz
R&S introduces the first test and measurement instruments on the market to support the robust new 1.35mm coaxial connector, including the new R&S NRP90T and R&S NRP90TN thermal power sensor models.
The connector spans frequencies up to 90 GHz and will be included in upcoming versions of the relevant IEEE and IEC standards. It has a precise metric fine thread, reliable pin space and an integrated slot for optional counterphase locking.
R&S NRPxxT power sensors work locally, connected to a PC, some Rohde & Schwarz instruments or an R&S NRX base unit. R&S NRPxxTN sensors can also be operated remotely over a LAN.
The E connector bridges the gap between the popular 1.85 mm connector (V-band) and the 1 mm connector (W-band). The V-band connector, introduced more than 30 years ago, is suitably robust for industrial applications, but is restricted to a maximum frequency of 70 GHz. The W-band connector, on the other hand, supports a maximum frequency of 110 GHz, but requires fine mechanical precision during assembly, and is frequently loosened in use.
