Peru. With the aim of publicizing the importance, benefits and scope of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) in the country, about 500 schoolchildren and teachers received information, through recreational actions, on the different ways to access this system that is implemented in different cities of Peru.
"There are currently 78 stations that transmit DTT and are distributed in 11 locations: Lima and Callao, Arequipa, Cusco, Piura, Huancayo, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Pisco, Ilo, Cañete and Camaná," said the general director of Authorizations in Telecommunications, Mariella Carrasco.
This activity, carried out jointly with the Superintendence of Land Transport of People, Cargo and Goods (Sutran), was carried out at the I.E. Antenor Orrego in San Juan de Lurigancho (Lima).
The day allowed the students of this school to learn, in a dynamic way, the benefits granted by DTT, to know what is needed to access this technology and the implementation schedule in Lima and Callao.
"We think it is a very good initiative, because it will allow teachers to replicate information as important as television of better audio and video quality, but free," said the technological specialist of UGEL 06, Hugo Buendía.
