Colombia. During his visit to Seoul, the Deputy Minister of Digital Economy of the Ministry of ICT, Jehudi Castro Sierra, met with his Korean counterpart and head of the topics of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Wonki Min.
As a result of that meeting, the vice ministers addressed the future collaboration between Colombia and Korea on Artificial Intelligence (AI) issues; mobile communications (including 5G); spectrum management; infrastructure; net neutrality; cybersecurity; emerging technologies, and digital entrepreneurship, among others.
Both countries agreed that this commitment to binational cooperation will be concretized in a memorandum of understanding that is under construction.
"The dialogue with government leaders from countries such as Korea is fundamental for the implementation of our ICT plan 'The digital future belongs to everyone', because in this way we exchange experiences with referents for the digital transformation of the country in terms of technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution such as Artificial Intelligence," said Deputy Minister Castro Sierra.
Likewise, Castro Sierra had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Korea Foundation for the Advencement of Science and Creativity (Kofac), a foundation that deals with the importance of science development and creative convergence education, to address issues related to skills education and digital entrepreneurship.
