Latin America. GatesAir appointed Arturo Yarahuan as Sales Director, North for the Caribbean and Latin America region, CALA. Reporting to Felipe Luna, Managing Director of the CALA region, Yarahuan will focus on sales and business development in Mexico City, Central America, the Caribbean and Upper South America. It will also work closely with GatesAir's network of regional partners to increase gatesAir's market share and brand visibility across its territory.
Yarah has a history of 25 years of experience in technology-focused sales, with positions in broadband and telecommunications, among other industries. He spent 10 years managing large telecommunications accounts with Harris Corporation and Alcatel Lucent, and then held similar leadership positions at Honeywell, NEC de Mexico and Thales Mexico.
Throughout his career, Yarahuan has developed strong relationships with many major broadcasters, including Televisa and TV Azteca, while continuing their digital radio and television transitions.
"The streaming workflow has become more convergent with the IT infrastructure, and this is an excellent opportunity to work with many broadcasters in the region," Yarahuan said. "There is a great opportunity at CALA to help broadcasters find the most operationally efficient path to digital radio and television, while increasing on-air performance and creating new revenue opportunities for their content."
Yarahuan added that GatesAir's reputation for strong customer service, both within the company and its extensive partner network, further elevates GatesAir's value proposition as a reliable, full-service provider.
"GatesAir continues to invest in global business growth and prepares for the next generation of digital and IP transition opportunities in every region," said Rich Redmond, President and Managing Director of International for GatesAir.
