Latin America. Technological advances and growing connectivity will guarantee the permanence and growth of radio, whether by traditional or virtual means, said Marcello Costa, COO of Playlist.
During NAB Show 2019, he mentioned: "We have a new way of making radio, technology has evolved very well for all parties, the internet is very accessible, we have internet in the big cities of Latin America and it is very important for the evolution of radio transmitters."
Costa mentioned that tools such as Aires, one of the main developments of Playlist, collaborate with this growth: "This year at NAB we are finalizing and definitively releasing Aires Studio. This is a very interesting software that is not just a virtual console, it is a whole codec studio, which has included audio processing, mixes, can insert several inputs, sends different programming for three different destinations. A very simple tool, very cheap and made for all types of radios: FM radio, podcasters, and even for people who are fond of making radios".
He highlighted the accessibility in the cost: "This goes for traditional radio or internet radio, anyone can use the product, we have plans accessible to several items of transmissions and adds reporters too, all this can add to a single product, very accessible."
He concluded by mentioning the company's growth in the region. "We have very good customers, even in Colombia we have RCN and others. Now with this new product, Aires, we are very happy and hopeful that we have more customers in Latin America."
