Latin America. From the beginning of February, when you sign in to watch any Netflix original, you'll see something new: a modernized Netflix animated logo. That animation, which the designers call "ident," features each of the original titles when a new episode begins.
According to the company, the change is due to the fact that they have evolved and want to update the brand to reflect the multiple options currently enjoyed by its users.
"About five years ago, when we started making Netflix originals, we introduced the old 'ident'. Back then, we were only available in certain countries. Currently, our shows, movies and specials span all kinds of genres and cultures. Our members around the world see them in English, Thai, Italian, Spanish and more," the company said.
He added that the new animated "ident" reflects the diversity and variety of its content. "Our favorite part is when the Netflix symbol bursts into a range of colors, inspired by the variety of stories, emotions, languages, fans and creators that collectively constitute who we are as a brand."
