Colombia. The 2019 version of the Bogotá Audiovisual Market will be special, since the fair celebrates its 10 years promoting Colombia's audiovisual industry to the world.
This week the call to apply for audiovisual projects was opened and for the first time, the BAM Animation category opens, for companies specialized in the animation genre. Italy will be the guest of honor.
Registration process:
-All interested parties must have or create a profile in www.bogotamarket.com, the website will be enabled from January 28, 2019.
-For the online application you must go to the CALLS section and choose the relevant category.
-It is necessary to fill out the completed form and take into account that the information will be requested in Spanish and English.
-The results of the first selection will be published the third week of April.
Key dates:
-Opening of the call: January 28, 2019.
-Closing of the call: March 18, 2109.
-First publication of results: April 15 to 20, 2019.
-BAM: July 8 to 12, 2019.
The categories of the BAM:
BAM Projects: aimed at Colombian projects (feature films or television series) of fiction and documentary in advanced stage of development or starting pre-production, made by Colombian companies or universities.
Screenings: aimed at Colombian producers (legal entities) with feature films in post-production or finished without being released. Those selected will be able to obtain two exclusive screenings with the purpose of exhibiting and promoting their work, and will also have the possibility of choosing the guests who will attend these, which may be: sales agents, distributors and international festivals; BAM accredited or exclusive guests selected by the project representative.
BAMMERS: aimed at new talents in the audiovisual industry who have a film, television, animation, web series or new media project in development. Those selected will have access to a specialized and exclusive training program and will be able to access the market and its networking activities, where they will have the advantage of knowing the dynamics of the audiovisual market with international reach.
BAM Stories: aimed at screenwriters (including Colombian natural persons) who have been shortlisted in the Fiction Screenwriting modality of the FDC Call in 2017 and 2018. Twelve people, whose script has not participated in other editions of BAM Stories, has not been shot, nor has it gained stimulus from feature film production; they will have the opportunity to access the Bogotá Audiovisual Market, its many activities and the spaces for dialogue, training and networking.
BAM Animation: this new category is aimed at companies specialized in the production of animations. Those selected will participate in exclusive networking activities and must attend a specific training program. As in other categories, the most outstanding companies will be deserving of awards given by the BAM and its allies, for their strengthening.
