Colombia. During the first day 'Meeting of Audiovisual Narratives' at TIACA 2018, four conversations and some presentations were held on 'International experiences for the strengthening of public television', 'The role of public television', 'Public television for an inclusive and diverse society', 'DTT and public policies to strengthen the audiovisual industry' and the presentation of the four manuals of good audiovisual practices, within the framework of the proclamation of November 19, as Ibero-American Day of Public Television.
The opening of the event was in charge of the engineer Ernesto Orozco Orozco, member of the National Television Board (JNTV), who said that "this is a space for the exchange of experiences in audiovisual and television matters in the company of all of you; academics, creators, public and private media, researchers, analysts, and entities of the sector, all articulating us in the framework of the new era of convergence and interactivity for all Colombians and for all Ibero-America".
Alexandra Falla, representative OFEI, also participated in the installation, who stressed that "the great transformations must become a breaking point to rethink TV in general, we are facing a new television scenario and public channels will not be oblivious to these challenges. The contents are going through a unique moment of public television, not only in terms of the quality of the productions but in terms of the sense of belonging where we increasingly resemble and identify more with the local."
Special guests such as Omar Rincón, managers of regional channels, members of the National Television Board (JNTV), Gabriel Katz, Nicolás Schonfeld, among others, also participated in the talks and presentations. Each one from his perspective made known his experience and knowledge in the management of narratives and public television in his spaces of action.
TIACA 2018 was also the space for the relaunch of 'La Tele que Somos', 'La Tele de Todos', 'La Tele que queremos', 'La Tele de los Niños' and 'La Tele Responsable', the five projects of support and promotion of the audiovisual industry, in charge of the Content Coordination of the ANTV, led by Gabriel Levy, who presented what these initiatives are about and how they have been deployed throughout the national territory, with different interest groups.
In this same sense, 5 documents of good audiovisual practices were presented, which were built as a result of the efforts of the ANTV from 'Las Teles' with people from all over the country, students, filmmakers, teachers, producers, indigenous communities and others.
The first day ended with the declaration of November 19 as the Ibero-American Day of Public Television by the representatives of RED ATEI, Red TAL, and ANTV.
