International. Telefónica launched new convergent security services that protect browsing through the Movistar network and on devices, as well as a safe environment at home, with special attention to children. In this way, Telefónica becomes a pioneer in offering a service of these characteristics, which combines protection in the fixed and mobile network.
Secure Connection protects both browsing and mobile devices. With Smart WiFi you can manage the home network from outside the home; Movistar Cloud offers unlimited capacity in the cloud content storage service, and Movistar Junior provides a safe environment for children with a children's application of content available on Movistar +. All these services will be free for Fusion customers.
This service has been developed internally between the teams of ElevenPaths (Telefónica's cybersecurity area) and Telefónica España, together with market leaders such as McAfee and Allot, who have collaborated intensively to launch the first convergent security offer for the residential customer.
Fusion customers will have their connections protected both in the fixed network (including all devices connected in the home), and in the mobile lines associated with their contract when browsing the user's own Movistar network. To enjoy this service, for free, you just have to activate it.
One of the main attributes of Secure Connection is that of effective and immediate protection, since it blocks instantly, preventively, the threats of malware and fraud that may be found when browsing and informs the user at the moment, who can decide to continue browsing or maintain the block.
The Secure Connection service also includes the protection of up to five devices for when browsing other networks (for example, public WiFis). To manage this protection it will be necessary to have the Device Security application installed, included at no cost in the Secure Connection service.
The Secure Connection service can also be registered on the lines with a mobile contract (out of Fusion) for when browsing 3G/4G.
