Colombia. The National Television Authority, ANTV, closed the deadline for producers and other interested parties to submit their proposals to the Call for the Promotion of Industry 2018 (FONTV), which aim to support the realization of audiovisual content productions for television.
On this occasion, the ANTV invited to participate the operators of the public service of non-profit television open (local) and closed (community), the companies producing audiovisual content and the ethnic groups that had the technical and operational capacity for the production of this type of content.
The 2018 call has $3,280 million pesos, which will be used to deliver 18 stimuli, in three categories, to promote and encourage the production of audiovisual content of public interest.
*Closed category No. 1: new docudrama series aimed at operators of the non-profit television service.
*Closed category No. 2: new unitary docudrama products aimed at ethnic groups.
*Open category No. 3: new fiction series aimed at independent producers, operators of the non-profit television service and ethnic groups.
At the close of the call, which was given on Tuesday, June 12 at 4:00 p.m., the ANTV received 118 offers that were presented as follows:
- Category 1: 15
- Category 2: 17
- Category 3: group 1: 15; group 2: 17; group 3: 35 and group 4: 19
Since 2016 the call has yielded the following results:
2016
The ANTV disposed of $ 1,672 million pesos for four categories in which 72 offers were submitted.
2017
First semester call
$2.7 billion pesos were allocated for four categories, in which 95 bids were submitted.
Call for second semester
A total of $700 million pesos were allocated for two categories, including Unitary Documentary aimed at ethnic groups, in which 49 offers were submitted.
With this tour it can be evidenced that every year the sector increases its interest in participating in spaces for the promotion and promotion of television, which finally translates into the growth of the industry where they have space and new producers, directors, actors and a whole team of people are announced that makes it possible to tell stories from reality, from creativity and fiction.
To continue with the 2018 call, the ANTV and the jury will carry out the respective verification of requirements and evaluation of the projects, once selected, the final results will be published on July 16, 2018, on the website of the entity www.antv.gov.co
