Latin America. The production and storage of content in the broadcast industry is growing day by day. More devices for viewing and greater consumption of content require more efficient tools for their search and location. It is one of the premises of Masstech, said Frank Lima, sales director for Latin America, the Caribbean and Florida of the company.
"With elections in several Latin American countries and with the World Cup there is more need to store and manage files. Placing them on discs is easy; the challenge is how they are going to search and find information about the contents that are saved and for this we have adequate solutions, because it is a process that can now be done automatically and no longer manually. Placing search tags is now easier, as it is done through artificial intelligence. For example, Amazon is occupying companies that do artificial intelligence and machine learning and we are collaborating on it," Lima said.
The executive said that the development of this type of solutions has increased the company's presence in the region: "In Latin America we have increased sales considerably by up to 200%, in addition to quadrupling the number of customers in the region. We have a lot of confidence in countries like Mexico."
He added: "We intend to continue growth throughout the region, and one country that we are very interested in is Brazil. The situation is not great, but it is stable and that is a good motivation. There are more investments and that leads to more projects."
