Peru. In order to facilitate access to the services offered to citizens, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, MTC, approved the simplification of 89 administrative procedures and the elimination of 14 procedures of the Single Text of Administrative Procedures (TUPA), belonging to eight directorates and offices of the sector.
This is provided for in Ministerial Resolution No. 1129-2017 MTC/01, published last Tuesday in the supplement of Legal Norms of the Official Gazette El Peruano. In this way, the services of the General Directorates of Civil Aeronautics, Water Transport, Land Transport, Roads and Railways, Communications Concessions, Telecommunications Authorizations, Communications Control and Supervision and the Personnel Office of the MTC modernize their procedures.
The MTC reduces TUPA procedures from 210 to 196. The simplification and elimination of procedures will serve as input for the Regulatory Quality Analysis that the Ministry has been developing, under the leadership of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM).
The ministerial resolution contributes to the Government's initiative to promote the facilitation of procedures for the benefit of citizens, as provided for in the National Policy for the Modernization of Public Management. Thus, unnecessary complexities are eliminated and it is sought that the requirements demanded are rational and proportional to the purposes that are sought to be met.
