Argentina. The board of directors of the National Communications Agency, Enacom, approved the new General Regulations for Amateur Radio, whose objective is to create a regulatory framework that promotes activity in the current technological context , facilitating procedures, entrance exams and promotion of categories.
The regulation was approved after being made available to Radio Amateurs on the Enacom website so that interested parties, through the Radio Clubs, can make the observations and contributions they considered pertinent. Several Radio Clubs responded to the initiative and made presentations to the body that were taken into account when defining the final content of the General Regulations.
The new Regulations will regulate the activity of Amateur Radio, Radio Clubs, Authorized Institutions and Recognized Institutions, attributing the use of frequency bands for the Amateur Service and the Amateur Satellite Service, taking into account the conditions of design, installation and operation of radio stations in order to facilitate access and development of the activity.
The sanctioned norm will enter into force from the day 05/02/2018.
